Test suitable for destinations where a PCR test is required for entry.
A PCR Fit to Fly test includes your Fit to Fly status. This is the best test to take if you are travelling. We do not issue test result certificates with fit to fly status if you test positive for Covid-19.
A PCR test is a nucleic acid test that looks for the genetic code (RNA) of the virus. It will not confirm whether you have had it and have developed an immune response - there are other tests available for that (see our antibody test). It is the gold standard of testing and is 99.9% accurate.
A throat and nose swab sample is taken by one of our healthcare professionals at one of our nationwide clinics.

Negative: You do not have any evidence of an active Covid-19 infection.
Positive: The virus that causes Covid-19 has been detected on your swab. As of 18 March, the UK no longer requires quarantine after a positive Covid-19 result. Note, most destination countries will still require a negative test result to fly.
Unclear: On rare occasions, it might not be possible to say if you had the virus when your test was done. In the event of this happening please contact us, quote your order number and we will arrange a retest.
This type of test is currently unavailable, either due to UK government requirements changing or is currently out of stock.
